International English Language Testing System (IELTS) preparation courses

IELTS is an exam that is primarily used by those seeking international education, professional recognition, global mobility, and bench-marking to international standards. It is usually required for entrance to British, Australian and Canadian universities and is increasingly accepted by academic institutions in both Europe and the USA. The BTI offers three options for candidates preparing for the IELTS test:

During the 50-hour IELTS course students learn strategies to help them do their best in the exam. This is an intensive course where students work on the four skills tested in the exam: reading, writing, listening and speaking. This course is recommended for people who are already at the required level and want to learn about the format of the test and/or refine their exam technique.

Classes held Saturday – Tuesday
Timing 13:00-15.30, 16:00-18.30 or 18.45-21.15

Course fee:

N.B. To join our 50-hour IELTS course students must be of Upper- Intermediate level or above.

During the 80-hour IELTS course students learn exam techniques and strategies. They study topics related to the themes of the IELTS exam. The four skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening will be practiced and vocabulary and grammar related to the exam will be covered. Students also work on how to improve their study skills so they can maximize their study time.

N.B. To join our 80-hour IELTS course students must be of Intermediate level or above.

Timing: 13:00-15.30, 16:00-18.30 or 18.45-21.15

During the 100-hour IELTS course students initially review relevant aspects of General English. The second section covers English for Academic Purposes of the type needed for the IELTS exam. The final section consists of intensive exam practice under authentic conditions supported by feedback from our experienced teachers of IELTS on how to improve exam technique.

N.B. To join our 100-hour IELTS course students must be of High Pre-Intermediate level or above.

Timing: 08.00-13:00 or 13.00-18.00
